Who can participate?
The $100K Fish Challenge is open to everyone – regardless of ages or location.
Anglers under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian to
participate in the competition.
You do not need to be a Gladstone resident to take part.

What do I do if I catch a blue and yellow tagged Barramundi?
When you catch blue and yellow tagged Barramundi, here is what you need to do:
1. Take two digital photos as follows:
o a photo including the whole Barramundi on a reputable brag mat or ruler showing the length of the fish;
o a close-up photo of the whole Barramundi, clearly displaying the blue and yellow tag numbers.
Remember, if the tag number is indecipherable the entry may be invalid.
2. Remove the blue Aquaculture Gladstone tag and yellow InfoFish tag from the Barramundi and release it back into Lake Awoonga.
3. Record your catch by either:
o calling InfoFish Australia on 1800 077 001 to verify the catch.
o Bring the blue and yellow tags and your photos to Aquaculture Gladstone at Awoonga Dam Road, next to Lookout One, during opening hours from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Saturday. An Aquaculture Gladstone staff member will verify your entry from there.
Personal information may be required as part of the verification process.

When is it on?
The $100K Fish Challenge runs all year-round. Catch a blue and yellow tagged
Barramundi any day of the year, including sanctioned fishing competitions, and you’ll
bag a $25,000 cash prize for your efforts.

Where can I go fishing for a blue-tagged Barramundi?
The only place you’ll snag one of these lucky Barramundi is at Lake Awoonga.
The $100K Fish Challenge is about enjoying everything the lake has to offer while
chasing a $25,000 cash prize!
But remember, you must always respect all closed water and restricted access areas
in and around the dam.

What do I win if I catch a blue and yellow tagged Barramundi?
If you catch a blue tagged Barramundi, you’ll receive a whopping $25,000 cash
prize.

Can I claim multiple prizes?
Yes! Multiple winning entries per person is permissible. Catch all four blue and yellow tagged Barramundi and you could walk away with $100,000 – it’s time to dream big
fishing fanatics!

How do I know if I’ve caught a winner?
The four lucky Barramundi each have two tags - one unique Aquaculture Gladstone
blue tag and one yellow InfoFish tag.
If your catch does not have both tags, or the tag numbers are indecipherable, your entry may be invalid. If any other blue tagged fish (without Aquaculture Gladstone tags) are captured within the competition period, they will not be valid entries to the competition.

How long do I have to claim my prize?
You must claim your prize within three months from the date your entry is verified,
and the winner is notified.
